Wear something pretty. Wedding and Event Planner shares her 3 favorite dresses of the week

When your man says “wear something pretty”. You should feel confident, sexy and proud of your girly figure.

Valentines day dinner, spring fundraiser or a friends wedding are all reasons to “wear something pretty”.  I personally love to wear dresses.  It is rare that you find me hanging out in a pair or jeans or yoga pants.  As a wedding and event planner I work from home and it’s not all that rare to find me sitting at my desk in a BCBG dress.

Last night I met a friend for a cocktail and just before I ran out the door I threw on a Ralph Lauren shirt dress with a pair of boots that cover the knees.  Most gals would have jumped into yoga pants and sneakers and headed out into the cold.  No!  Not me!  I like to “wear something pretty” even when I am just catching up with a friend over a beer.  Funny enough it was trivia night and we decided to play, needing a team name, he looks at me and writes down… “Wear something pretty”. At that point I’m pretty sure he’s onto my style!  Maybe we don’t give men enough credit… They do notice when we look pretty!

Wearing a dress allows me to hide the body parts I hate and accent the body parts I want to show off.  Here are 3 of my favorite dress finds this week…

First up white and feathers made in Italy!  MSGM available at Saks Fifth Ave. for under $700. This one I picked as a hot top pick for a rehearsal dinner dress!  Things I love about it…

Feather embellishment
Concealed back zipper
Side pockets perfect to slip a small lip gloss.

Moving from rehearsal dinner to sexy red valentine.  Here is a dress I absolutely love for valentines day!  It’s sexy and $139 fits into all budgets!  This dress by Bebe features two of my favorite things… Off the shoulder sleeve and a keyhole sleeve!  Hot, sexy and form fitting!  I’m pretty sure this dress will melt your mans heart.

Pretty in pink is an understatement in this Notte by Marchesa!  This stunning hot pink one shoulder bow waist cocktail dress is just perfect for that fun cocktail party or fundraiser that features dancing!  I usually don’t like the mix of bows and sparkles but this combo is fab!  This dress we found at Nieman Markus for $645

Wear something pretty… Feel confident and look sexy!  Happy shopping!
