There’s a First Time For Everything: Hotel Palomar

After being engaged for a year and a half: Nina was beyond ready to tie the knot with fiance Joel at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia.  Each wedding is uniquely different in it’s own way.  With the Hotel Palomar being a custom fit for the Modern Bride, it was the perfect setting for Nina & Joel’s ceremony and reception.

With a fabulously written ceremony and poems hand picked by the happy couple.  Nina & Joel wrote their own vows for each other and kept them secret up until they said I Do.  It was a match made in heaven.  They had a glow that radiated off of them when they posed for pictures and looked into each others eyes after they were announced husband and wife.

Nina wore no veil and her modernized 1920’s themed hair and Super Sexy MAC lashes gave her a look that she could totally pull off and have everyone looking at her the whole night.

As the couple danced into the night; Mo Town and recent #1 songs blared on the Hotel Palomar’s 24th Floor.  Single Ladies by Beyonce- was quite appropriate for the Bouquet Toss (if I do say so).

Mine and Karen’s day started off early, eating lunch in the Hotel Palomar’s Bar & Restaurant; Square 1682.  As we sipped on some wine, we took in the ambiance and beauty of the Palomar.  We absolutely loved the lobby and the tile work that we decided would be an excellent backdrop for Nina. She possessed a completely different attitude during her photo shoot after she and Joel tied the knot (there were no more pre-wedding jitters).  She looks absolutely stunning in this picture.

We bounced around from the 23rd Floor where we helped Nina get dressed to the 25th Floor where the ceremony took place, back to the 24th Floor for Cocktail Hour, up to the 25th Floor where Jim Weber and his staff transformed the traditional wedding ceremony room into a dining area for 100 guests.  Gold overlays, magnificent centerpieces and a plethora of candles were scattered throughout the room.  Once dinner was over and Nina and Joel cut the cake; it was back down to the 24th Floor for dessert and dancing! (We would be lying if we told you our legs didn’t hurt the following day-Thank Heavens for the Spa)

Natalie and Paul (Nina’s Parent’s) gave a beautiful Welcome; one that had everyone laughing with her father’s poem. (You can totally tell).

At the end of the night; Nina’s mother and I took the elevator together and she was so happy she had hired Karen and I to manage all the details while she and her family enjoyed this very special day in their daughters life.  I was ecstatic that Natalie told me this and that the wedding was a total success.  It always means so much more when your clients vocalize their gratitude for your services.  It was a pleasure to work with such a wonderful family and a couple that is so madly and deeply in love! Congratulations Nina & Joel on a Lifetime of Happiness!

This was Karen Pecora Events first of many weddings at the Hotel Palomar this month.  The staff and Jim Weber were excellent to work with and we cannot wait to work with them again! All pictures were taken by Robert J. Laramie-photography.

Make it a Great Day!
