May 1st marked the beginning of wedding season mania 2011 for Karen Pecora Events. The beautiful outdoor wedding of Rini & Wayne Dudley was hosted at the 115-year old Elkins Estate.
The bride added flair from her Indian heritage into the day, wearing traditional Indian jewelry against her modern dress while her bridesmaids donned saris and guests were entertained by a sitar player during cocktail hour.
After the ceremony, the bride switched into a gown more closely resembling a sari while her bridesmaids changed into sleek black strapless dresses.
Feastivities catered the wedding and brought the couple hors d’oeuvres during their photo shoot on the Elkins Estate balcony. When asked how it was to work with Rini & Wayne, Meredith of Feastivities Catering said, “I enjoyed every moment of working with them. Rini & Wayne were a true treat, from start to finish. It was so exciting to create a memorable event and menu combining cultures from the East to West.”
Christina Carnevale of Paper Rock Scissors created the beautiful placecards, menu cards and programs for the wedding, as well as an “In Memory” board for family members that could not be at the ceremony. As the board lovingly said at the bottom, “We wouldn’t be the people we are today, if not for them…”
Jackie Bayne of Love Shack Photography captured all the magical moments while CTO set the soundtrack with a DJ and band. Eventions Productions provided lighting to finish out the event’s ambiance. The bride and groom added personal touches to the venue with framed photos of the couple scattered throughout the rooms and a glow stick reception in the banquet hall. After the ceremony, Rini surprised Wayne with a top hat that he wore as the DJ announced the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Dudley.
It was quite obvious that these two are a very fun couple and are head over heels for each other. Cinemacake Filmmakers created a wonderful video of the day that Wayne commented,
“We just watched the video, and I had to send the thank you email because I think Rini is still crying…don’t worry, tears of joy! Of course we had no doubt that the film was going to be beyond great, but I can honestly say that it is perfect!!” To see the video, click here –> Rini & Wayne
As my first wedding interning with Karen Pecora Events (actually, my first DAY with the company), I was thrown right in the middle of the excitement. Rini was calmer than I could have imagined and it helped create a warm atmosphere around the entire event. Her calmness may have been due to the fact that Rini & Wayne were married in India several months before this second nuptial ceremony at Elkins Estate. However, this didn’t seem to curb Wayne’s anticipation, as experienced firsthand. “How does she look?!”, he asked me excitedly as I ventured into the men’s suite to see if they needed anything (turns out, not one of them knew how to fold a pocket square, so they all tried to shove the silk haphazardly into their pockets – you have to love them for trying). Just as adorable, Rini’s pre-wedding routineconsisted of push-ups and squats before slipping into her dress.
The entire event went beautifully and I could not have asked for better professionals
to work with that day. This wedding set the bar high!
Congratulations, Rini & Wayne!
