This year we were delighted to come back on board as the planner for Philadelphia Theatre Company’s annual gala. This year Philadelphia Theatre Company decided to change it up and move their gala from the Hyatt Bellevue to the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Instead of hosting it at the end of April like last year’s gala- it was held on March 1, 2013. Powerhouse actress and singer Patina Miller performed a 45 minute showcase after dinner.
Honoree’s: Julia & Gene Ericksen are one of the extraordinary assets of Philadelphia’s great board members. Both share a special passion for the theatre and have been keenly supportive of PTC’s productions and educational programming. They are active in many cultural and civic organizations. They have not only been generous to PTC- there list of philanthropic endeavors is long: Ballet X, Philabundance and Ready, Willing and Able.
The funds raised for the evening goes directly to the mission of Philadelphia Theatre Company, which is centered on the development and production of imaginative and entertaining contemporary theater focusing on the American experience that both ignites the intellect and touches the soul.
PTC supports the work of a growing body of diverse dramatists and takes pride in being home to scores of nationally recognized artists who have participated in over 140 World and Philadelphia premieres.
This year not only were we brought back to manage the silent auction and onsite management, but we rolled out our décor division in January and were able to give PTC a great look in clear glass vessels with white and blue hydrangea, roses, ranunculus, calla lilies etc. (More pictures to follow)
There was a grand total of $43,000 made from the Silent and Live Auction! It was a huge success! We hope to work with Philadelphia Theatre Company again next year as well!
Special Thanks to the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Eventions Productions, Majestic Images and to all the Philadelphia, New York and Delaware businesses that showed their support by donating items to the silent auction!
