Meet Katydid of Wayne- a unique invitation, stationery and gift retailer

Hey brides and grooms out there!  We all know that most grooms don’t want to sit and pick out invitations with their significant other but what if I told you bride’s that there is a store where you may be able to drag your fiancé into and not be able to bring him out of….And you may just get him to help you choose a font style or whether or not you want an envelope liner.

Intrigued yet?

Katydid of Wayne is just what you both need to check out! This quaint shop that is nestled in bustling Wayne, PA on East Lancaster Avenue is a premier retailer of stationery and invitations.  In addition to their unique selection of fine stationery and invitations, they offer gifts for everyone, including newly added authentic sports memorabilia by BC Sports, gift wrap, tabletop, greeting cards and more.

Original Katydid Sign

Katydid opened in 1972 in Bryn Mawr, now located in Wayne. Deanna and Dale Centofante (sister/brother team) bought the store in March 2007.  Today, Katydid of Wayne continues to dedicate their energy to help you create an invitation or announcement that will best present your special event and recently added a new twist by offering sports memorabilia!

Some couples may be wondering or even puzzled by the idea of what to get their bridal party! What better gift than to give your groomsmen an autographed hockey puck, baseball or photo.  The possibilities are endless.  “Everyone has the flask and the cuff links”- says owner Dale Centofante, “Sports memorabilia is something no one has really tapped into and is a really great gift.”  Even for anniversaries or birthdays.  Future Wives take note when you stop in here of what your hubby is drooling over.  Bride’s check out the mini diamond shaped picture frames for your bridesmaids: “Bridesmaids are like diamonds…Precious and Rare”

Now let’s talk about invitation selection.  Katydid offers invitations for any occasion. They have a wide selection of albums to choose from. Crane & Co., Caspari, Rytex, Carlson Craft, Paper Duvet and Martha Stewart are just a few that I took note of.  I absolutely loved the engagement invite, the bridal shower invite that opened up and of course the one shaped like a cake.
