I had the utmost privilege to assist with the planning of two wedding for the same family in two years. Last years in July was their first daughter Hannah’s wedding at DuPortail House (you can read Hannah’s blog here) and this year was Hayley’s wedding at The High Point.
Thank you Anne for letting me work with your family again on one of the most memorable days you could have of your daughter. Bless you for planning two weddings in two years!
I had a stellar team working with me at The High Point– Perfect Setting Catering, Morrissey Photo, Flowers by Priscilla, and the band The Untouchables– who kept the dance floor packed throughout the evening.
Hayley’s maids were in a sage green J.Crew dress in an array of styles. Hayley herself was in a J.Crew eggshell wedding dress. Chris and his groomsmen wore khaki suits with blue ties.
Ceremony took place at St. Monica’s Church in Berwyn where Hayley and Chris rode to The High Point in a family friends gold Rolls Royce! Completely fit with the theme.
Hayley and Chris had a country chic wedding, with a lot of DIY projects- mason jars flooded The High Point reception tables with spider mums, white roses, white hydrangea, white chrysanthemums and baby’s breath. Lights were strung over the dance floor which made it look incredible. Shepherds hooks lined a walkway through the grass for guests to make their way onto the patio for cocktail hour.
This bridal party wasted no time when it came to the “Introductions”. From flips and cartwheels to riding in on a guests motorized wheel chair, I knew that this was going to be a great dancing crowd! Wayne from The Untouchables did an AMAZING JOB- I don’t think I have ever seen every single guest on the dance floor (including the guest who twisted her ankle).
**Special Note- you never know when an ice pack is going to come in handy, always carry one in your emergency kit! The couple that I produced this ice pack for, was completely shocked and wrote me one of the funniest notes that I will never ever forget! I hope to hear from them when they begin planning their wedding. Haha.
What country chic wedding doesn’t have home made pie? Hayley and Chris had pie cutting instead of cake cutting. We were on the hunt back in January trying to find mini pies, when Hayley went to a farmers market in Lancaster in March and discovered that the Amish ladies would make her mini individual pies for her reception! Problem solved! Cherry, Apple, Strawberry Rubarb pies decorated the dessert table, and “WOW” were they good!
Hayley & Chris- Main Line Event Planners wishes you a lifetime of happiness as you embark on this journey together. It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of your wedding day! Congrats!
Make it Fabulous Day!
