Welcome Back to the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia
Our Home Away from Home this Month!
As soon as you step up to the Palomar, right above your head you will see
The Palomar is a modern and eclectic hotel in Philadelphia, with an abundance of sculptures, artwork and interesting elevators (more to come).
There are three sculptures of Ben Franklin’s head when you enter into the hotel off to the side where the front desk in an array of colors.
Last Weekend (October 9th) we helped Melanie and Wim tie the knot! As the leading event planner in Philadelphia we did some scoping around the Palomar for a secluded place for Melanie and Wim to have their first meeting.
There was the staircase
which would have been beautiful for Melanie and Wim to meet on the landing and have the photographer shoot some pictures from above them or below them (either way the natural light that would have been coming in at that time would have been stunning as it reflected off of the gold accents)
Karen Pecora and I had fun riding the elevators: each one had a different piece of artwork which was a cool back drop for us to play around with (who said wedding planners couldn’t have fun on the job?)
After stopping on multiple floors to complete our search for a meeting place for Melanie and Wim, we stumbled upon a really neat piece of artwork that sums up what we wish on our couple’s wedding day.
Because it was such a beautiful day in Philadelphia- the photographer Tania Lezak (great to work with! check out her website) thought that the scaffolding across the street would be a phenomenal back drop for the modern couple. As Wim waited to see his bride; Karen and I escorted Melanie across the street as the passerby’s said she looked beautiful. They met under the scaffolding in front of Daffy’s; which gave a whole new meaning to “Meet me at Daffy’s”The ceremony was soon to start after their first meeting on the 25th Floor, Cocktails on the 24th Floor and Dinner & Dancing on the 25th Floor.
Jim Weber, Yim and staff are so pleasant and wonderful to work with; transformed the ballroom into Melanie & Wim’s dream wedding reception. As an associate of Karen Pecora Events: I have never had any staff member ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything more times than at the Hotel Palomar. (Great Job Everyone!)
We will be back at the Hotel Palomar on October 30, 2010 for Addrianne’s wedding!
Make it a Great Day!
