Tess and Dennis came to our Philadelphia office in May of 2012 looking to get married in September 2012. A mere 4 month engagement! Karen and I were ecstatic at the ideas and vision that Tess & Dennis had- inspired by Alfonz Mucha a French bohemia artist. Vintage, Rustic candelabras, with lace embellishments and how could we forget the apothecary jars, terrariums and Tess’s love for moss.
Tom from Buttercup (a décor division of Jeffrey Miller Catering) created a lovely wedding canopy for Tess and Dennis to get married under. The aisle was lined with lace fabric and sprinkled with rose petals.
Shepherds hooks with mason jars were used as aisle markers, which were flourishing with hydrangea, roses, hanging amaranthys and other fall favorites. Tess picked out a variety of songs for the bridal party to walk down the aisle to. The groomsmen walked out to David Bowie’s “Fame”, and Tess and her father walked down the aisle to “Sinking Freindships” by Jonsi.
The couple’s friend Chase played an acoustic version of “The Story” as Tess and Dennis moved to the side to do personal vows to each other. It was truly romantic.
There were 18 different table designs for Tess and Dennis’s reception. Nastassja Harvey flew in from South Africa to photograph the day for Tess & Dennis while Marc Smiler from The Video Artist captured the day from start to finish.
There was a surprise farewell with sparklers as they hurried to their get away car to be taken to the Bellevue Hotel (which Tess was unaware of).
Cupcakes Gourmet supplied mini chocolate gnash cupcakes for guests to take home with. There were an array of photo stickers that were placed on the boxes to add a personal touch.
We loved working with this couple on such a short notice. They were one of our favorite couples that Philadelphia Event Planners has worked with this fall.
Enjoy & Happy Planning!
